Farm & Testing
We grow it first. Then we sell it.
Our own farm is the proving ground. If a hybrid cannot beat the local check on yield and cost, it does not make our catalog.
The process
Five steps from candidate to catalog
A repeatable, evidence-based trial that every variety must pass.
- 01
Source & Select
We shortlist hybrids from trusted breeders based on yield potential, disease tolerance and suitability for Pakistani conditions.
- 02
Plant at Our Farm
Every candidate is sown in side-by-side plots on Tehar's own farm with identical soil, water and spacing.
- 03
Monitor & Record
Germination, vigour, pest pressure, flowering and water use are logged through the full crop cycle.
- 04
Measure Yield
Harvest weight, grain/fruit quality and input cost per acre are measured and compared against local checks.
- 05
Approve & Supply
Only seed that delivers low cost and high yield is approved for sale — with agronomy guidance for your fields.

What we measure
Data behind every recommendation
Germination & vigour
Emergence rate and early growth recorded for every plot.
Pest & disease pressure
Scouting each week to see how varieties cope without over-spraying.
Water & input use
Irrigation and fertiliser tracked so we know the true cost per acre.
Harvest weight & quality
Measured yield, grading and shelf life compared with local checks.
